Remember that when you register for a particular Application, your registration code remains valid for all the following minor releases.
Remember to read the Conditions of Use, Publication and Distribution before installing and using our Applications.

3. How to install it?
No particular installation is required. Once you've downloaded the ".dmg" package from our website, it should uncompress automatically (in your "Downloads" folder or on your Desktop). If it does not, then you can double-click on it to uncompress it.
Then you just have to move the created folder into your "Applications" folder (or any other location) and double-click on the Application to launch it.

Particular case of Mac OS 10.14 Mojave:

Under Mac OS 10.14 Mojave, if you're launching the Application for the first time, Mac OS' GateKeeper (which you can configure in the "System Preferences") will refuse to launch it because you've not downloaded it from the Mac App Store (but from our website). In this case, instead of double-clicking on it, all you have to do is to right-click on the Application's icon, and then select the "Open" menu. A message will appear in which you'll be able to confirm that you want to launch the Application (even if it was not downloaded from the Mac App Store from an Identified Developper).

NB: We're not distributing our Applications through the Mac App Store, because Apple's fees policy on the Mac App Store is not financially respectful of developers and small and medium companies, and consequently, at the end, of customers.

4. How to uninstall it?
There should be no reason to do this. ;-)
However, if you really want, then you just have to throw the Application into the trash, and that's all.

5. How to use it?
Launch it and enter your Mac OS administrator password in the Preferences window.
The best way to use it is to add it in the Login items (in the System Preferences panel) so that it is automatically launched each time you turn your Mac on.

When Startup Chime Stopper is launched at startup it automatically removes the startup chime when you shut down and restart your Mac.
Remove Startup Chime Stopper from the Login items to hear again the startup chime at startup. (In this case case don't forget to increase the sound volume after restart.)

The "Open Startup Chime Stopper Preferences" command file:"
It allows you to open the application Preferences window because it's an invisible background application that does not appear in the Dock.
Enter your Mac OS administrator password and click "Mute" to mute the startup chime.
NB: For general security reasons your Mac OS administrator password must not be blank; you must have a real password, and enter it in Startup Chime Stopper.

The "Quit Startup Chime Stopper" command file:"
It allows you to quit the application because it's an invisible background application that does not appear in the Dock.

If you can't mute the startup chime, then you must check that your account has "admin" rights (in the Account panel of the System Preferences).
If your account does not have "admin" rights, then you can't mute the startup chime.
Ask the administrator of your Mac (who has "admin" rights) to turn your account into an "admin" account (by giving you "admin" rights in his own System Preferences).
If you are the administrator of your Mac (i.e. e.g. if there is only one account on your Mac which is your account), then you should not have any problem because you should have "admin" rights by default.

If the mute does not work and if your password contains very special characters, try to change your password in the System Preferences so that it contains more common characters.
